SUCCESSFUL PUBLIC MEETING - 21/11/13

Residents packed the hall at Rydon School on Thursday 21st November, to hear details of the proposed joint Neighbourhood Plan to be produced by Storrington & Sullington and Washington Parish Councils.

Councillors and a representative from Action in Rural Sussex were on hand to explain the process of drafting a Neighbourhood Plan and to emphasise the importance of public involvement.  Volunteers came forward to join Focus Groups that will cover the topics of Business and the Economy, Transport and Accessibility, Community Facilities, Environment, Heritage and Local Knowledge and also Planning and Infrastructure.  The two parish councils are working together to draft a plan that will manage future development and encourage business and economic growth in the area.  Councillors will be relying on the input of local residents.  If you would like to get involved, please refer to the Parish Council websites for information, or contact the parish clerks.
